Am about to embark on the trip of my life.... alone...

A lil scared but the excitement overrides fear.

Have been rehearsing what I will do if i were to be harassed by a random dude on the streets and what will I do if some one gropes or molests me... (prob kick his balls.. but then again I will only have one shot, so carrying something capable of considerable damage will prove to be more practical.)

That aside, I came across this home set up by the late Mother Teressa in Agra. Will stop by there to check it out and spend one day there.

It's sad to see children becoming victims of poverty. While our children here complain about heavy school bags and homework, they can only hope to live one more day.

Maybe we should pause and reflect: are we too caught up with our own lives that we become oblivious to what is happening around us?

The psychological warfare has began. All parties are doing what they can to "address" the issues close to the voters' hearts.

As voters eagerly chant and show "patriotism" towards their country (or rather party) , how many of them are actually selfish individuals seeking for personal benefits?

Time for a change? Definately.

It's a blessing to have the ones you love around you..

It's an even bigger blessing to know that they don't just stick around you, but also love you back.

The endless scoldings I've received the past few days (or weeks) have been a tad irritating... but it never fails to bring warmth to my heart.

There is this Chinese saying 打是疼，骂是爱 which basically means if one hits you, they are showing that they care, if they scold you, it means they love you. (but this does not equate to physical and verbal abuse)

These are the people who truly love and care.

They say below the happy grinning face lies a sad and lifeless person... No doubt abt that. All of us have this hidden side of us which we don't want the world to see. Why? We are afraid of judgments, criticisms and more importantly, exposing ourselves to greater hurt and pain. Who wants to feel this vunerable anyway? But it is important to let it out sometimes... in the toliet or under the comfort of your blanket. A periodic "emotional flush" from our body system will do us good... at least for me.

hey pple. sorry that i've been MIA-ing for a very long time. anyway, just completed the half marathon last weekend. and to be frank, age is really catching up on us. hahahaha.. gg to downgrade to 10km run next year. at least can finish fast too. hahaha.

Went for X physique last Sunday...

and yes.. I fell down AGAIN... at the mountain biking trail... damn suay.. finishing the trail alr la! den cycled too fast and went over a rock and fell... -_-

I'm chui at cycling.. no doubt. hahaha... bleeding at the left knee and palm. suay shit.. but its healing well la.. just that initially walked with a limp and cannot even bend the knee..

quite shagged ah the whole thing.. aft that went to bk's hse to bath and den all of us fell asleep from sheer lethargy....

Just finished watching Armageddon... watch it for like 5 or 6 times already but it never fails to make me cry!

okok... i'll blog... life is kinda alright... have been going out with friends, working and doing house work... YES!!!! house work! surprise?

anyway, for those who are having attachment, gogogogogogogo!!!! all the BEST! I'll miss u all badly =( esp the ex-TF01 pple.

anyway, I've been thinking lately... would I be opened to another realtionship? nah... dun get me wrong... I was just wondering... cause firstly, I'm so busy with work and all... do I even have the energy to even have a relationship?

But it's during this time of "busy-ness" where I wish I have that special someone to rely on... to whine to... ah ya.. you catch my drift? just someone to be there... sure... I whine to my friends and mum abt work and all now... but I just find that something is missing... hmmmm...

Never have I imgained that such a person existed. Yet, because of his determination to complete the marathon, he passed on.

I did not have the privilage to know him, but hearing about his deeds from his frens, it brought about unexplainable feelings.

Deep down, I've ruled him as my role model and at the same time, made me realise that God will give rest to those who find that the burden is too much to bear. Perhaps its better that he is gone. He can finally find eternal rest in God, away from the hectic and straining army duties.

Went out with Ah Long today.. come to think of it, we've like probably met like once and we seem like old time friends... hahaha... anyway, thank you for the dinner and movie treat yea? hahaha...

anyway, I'm so excited cos next week, I'll be going to kelong soon~ WOOH!!!!! no computers, no TV (I think) and no horrendous work for 3 days! YESH!!!! just pure relaxation.. though I was told that there are lotsa prositutes there. -_- BUT, seems quite exciting to see them picking up customers or the other way around... hehehe..

anyway, I'm really keen on going backpacking... in INDIA!!!! YESH!!!! Time flies.. especially when you are busy... well, busy doing nothing? hahah.. ok... life is a tad boring these days... no more freedom... just piles of work and projects. and no. i'm not whinning here... arrgh... a well deserved holiday? doubt it..

I miss the days in Hong Kong... although it was a lil frustrating cos we brought summer clothes for spring~ but the late night shopping and running ard the streets in our shorts with winds howling and threatening to freeze us if we didn't seek shelter is very much missed... haiz... such idle life. hahaha.. but reality had to kick in and here i am.. back in Singapore... struggling to keep myself sane in this crazy world.

I'm just brunt out... pimples are popping out.. arrgh... higher expectations make me so jittery... so afraid. I'm just glad that I'm not facing these alone. =)

anyway, why do pple go clubbing? one of life's mind boggling qns i guess... some pple i've asked repiled that its a form of unwinding after a day's/week's at the office. other say they go there for music. some say its dancing with strangers that make them go back (?????) hahaha.. right..

why is it mind boggling? cos ermm.. aren't there ANY other alternatives to unwind? why get yourself so drunk and get a hang over the next day? is that unwinding? hmmm.. ok~ chilling out with friends. But how to even chat when the music is so loud!!!! but i do agree that occasional parties won't harm.

i wouldn't say that all these ans are wrong cos its a matter of perception with regards to this. I've deleted the previous post cause I realised that it didn't really make any sense when I re-read it... haha.. anyway, I'm like slacking at home... waiting for the mins to tick by and watching animal planet... yea... you might go " what the.... animal planet's for nerds!!!" wad ever la... that is a point of opinion.. who gives two **** about that... haha... right. I don't even know what started me to blog abt this in the first place. But I guess it has always been happening.. being compared with others.... like what ever. I've lived on this earth for almost 2 decades now... whao!!! sounds long yea? time really fleets by when you are having fun... not that my life was all smooth sailing and all.. but i'm just glad that more good things happened than bad ones... haha..

anyway, I guess its really time for me to pull up my socks.. all that crazy working schedules have made me so tired... precious time was spent on either sleeping or studying... I had no time to catch up with friends, loved ones.. not to mention my closest kins, mum and sis... everytime i reach home, they are sleeping.. and when i wake up, i'm too rushed... I don't even have time to give my mum and sis a hug...

Firstly,I've watched are Letters from Iwo Jima. Really great movie.. Ken Watanabe IS THE BEST!! haha.. If you haven't watched it, its similar to Balck Hawk Down. All about war and stuff.. with bombs and gunshots. not forgetting disgusting sights of a broken off hand or body smashed up into bits...

Protege!!! woosh~ Daniel Wu makes me swoon~~~ haha.. I'm going to abduct him from Hong Kong!! hehe.. But it not only abt Daniel Wu, but the story line I guess speaks very well of the drug syndicate around the world... so ya..

Norbit!! haha.. Eddie Murphy is so funny!! haha.. but it is NOT when the person you are watching with keeps reminding you " Eat more supper and you'll end up like her!" *points to the fat lady in the movie* Idiot...

300. Gruesome yet at the same time cool~ haha... maybe i'm sadist but I was on the verge of sleeping as I was very tired! then the fighting came and i was fully awake!! haha.. but i think the Persian King resembles local comedian Kumar. haha.. ok~

Pursuit of Happyness. Inspiring movie. In fact, it moved me to tears. especially the little boy who was by his father's side all the while.

Just follow Law. A movie which speaks of the truth of the government sector in all honesty.. although some parts were exaggerated, it never fails to make locals laugh at the jokes which only Singaporeans can undersatnd.

okie... as you can see. I'm really bored and all... but I'm just not doing anything abt it. Fact is, I hardly get this kinda bored moments nowadays.. so I'm just soaking in the "laziness" mood.. haha.. yup

anyway, I'm going to Hong Kong in about 2 weeks time. A lil excited cause this is my virgin flight.. haha.. ya.. I know.. mountain tortise.. when I told my fellow friends who are going to Hong Kong with me, the were like " HUH??????" whao... pai seh~ haha.. but its the fact!!!

Its going to be a 6 days trip.... lotsa shopping for the ladies!!! haha.. In case you are wondering, I'm going on the trip with my ex-colleagues from DFS.. Before you start wondering which auntie is going with me, I'm going with people around my age... haha.. nothing beats the fun you'll exprience when you get to go with people of around the same humour frequency as you...

But if I my budget was higher, I would opt for Oslo, Norway... or Switzerland!!! haha.. maybe next time when I'm older... or after graduation... Probably backpack around that region... oh.. and of course I won't forget backpacking with Audrey and our trip to Adelaide to see ALLY!!!! haha.. so many trips!!! I'm getting excited already!!! haha.. but I'm cash strapped... =X

I've never thought that I was good at making or keeping friends. Not until this morning when it dawned on me that friends like Grace, Hui Shan, Jacilyn, Yun Ying, Cai Xu and Candice have been my friends since primary school!!! haha.. thats like almost 1 decade of friendship!! haha.. though we weren't so close in primary school, its still comforting to know that after so many years, you still have old time friends like them in your life.

The anticipated company dinner finally commenced on the 22nd... and wooo!!! the food is shiok shiok!!! haha... ate at a cantonese restaurant, Peony Jade located at Clarke Quay... then went to Clinic... but it was kinda boring there cos its main hall was playing house music and trance... not really our cup of tea.. so went to MOS!!!! and we drank like nobody's business!!! haha... right... so I spent the first day of CNY working... how exciting hor~ haha... no la... but got double pay... so not so bad. anyway, went to Ah Keong's house to chill~ played heat attack and Indian Poker... and i think i should not gamble. cos i was kinda suay~ drank the most i think... but this time it was better... not shots but Baileys... creme caramel some more... haha... and Roy was super funny... making all of us laugh all the while with his stupid dog barks and actions... and Shane was like a father looking after small kids... haha...

As everyone go about their new year shoppings and stuff, I went ot the hospital... to visit someone whom I don't know well... her time on this earth is coming to an end... sadness or happiness? I don't know...

it seems that this kind of things seem to happen every time. First, it was Hui Shan's mum. As the hospice was near my workplace, I'd visit her during lunch break. But because of work, I didn't see her for 2 days and the next day, she breathed her last.

Then it was Min Sin's mum. The last time I saw her was in Sec 4. She's one of the few women I know that has this very motherly feel everytime I see her. But she succumbed to leukemia on Christmas day.

Now its Aunty Gina. Though I don't know her well, it feels sad to know that one of your fren's boyfriend's mum is leaving. ok la... her boyfriend also my fren. just not that close. When we visited her yesterday, I was clueless about how she looked like. Then, we went in and I finally recognised her. I remember her always smiling when I see her. But now, she's lying on the hospital bed, struggling to keep herself alive for another min. She was semi conscious when we went in. Shan and Grace held onto her hand while i just stood there with my mind in a whirl. I didn't know what to do.

Finally, I stretched out my hand and touched her arm. The feeling I had was unexplainable. Anyway, we prayed for her and it dawned on me that life was really fragile. As much as I hate to see people I know pass on, but its part of life.

ok... this post may be a lil wrong to start a new year. But this has made me cherish the ones around me even more. Especially my mum...

so ya... enough of the sad stuff... and I went threading!!!! woah!! pain!!! was tearing during th process la. so pai seh cause Grace and Hui Shan were laughing at me... haha...

BACK TO HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!!!! yep... just came back from jogging at Mac Ritchie... didn't feel as tired as that time I ran at Sentosa but ya... ran 6km I think... But strictly speaking, I ran prob abt 5km and walked 1km... hmm... an improvement eh?

SURF AND SWEAT!!!!! more like sweat and sweat... haha.. firstly, we went to the wrong end of the beach... secondly, we were too lazy to participate in the race but for the sake of the goodie bag~ haha.. and thirdly... I was brawling like a spoilt child throughout the run... and Ah Keong so paiseh... cos it was a rely... and he still ran with me though he has finished his part... he finished first but because of me, we came in 38th... whahha...

Just got home from reunion dinner with the maternal side of the family... why so early? cos my granny is powerful.. gave birth to 15 kids... 7 uncles 7 aunties (plus my mum is 15 la) and with such a huge family, it'll be difficult to coordinate and plus, restuarants would be packed.. so the earlier, the better..

and we had 3 tables.. I named them the table for the young, the table for the medium and the table for the old...

apparently, it was such a coincidence that all the older cousins ( all above age 18) were sitting together, all those who were are below the age of 18 were sitting together and the toddlers, sitting together!!! but of course, there are adults sitting at all tables la..

haha.. not funny.. anyway, tmr is "surf and sweat" day!!!! bah! i am suddenly feeling so lazy to get my ass outta the house.. running 5km is no biggie.. but considering the fact that i didn't train... hmmm... probably die halfway and my partner has to drag me towards the finishing point... hahaha...

Went to school early in the morning for an hour for lesson... dumb but last tutorial so give face la... went home and did a lil packing cos moving house on SAT!!!!! haha.. so ya.. room is half packed now... excluding clothes of course...

after that, went to St Margs for drill practice. though a lil tired, but it was worth it cause i felt that girls putting in a lot of effort for this competition.

so ya.. anyway, whislt my way to St Margs, I came across this incident...

went to the bus stop and since i was slowing taking my time to walk there, i missed my bus. BUT.. this gave me an opportunity to see something which i dun get to see everyday---> a woman asking for money.. not from just one.. but several!!! cool~

haha.. ok.. this guy was sitting at the bus stop. suddenly, this middle aged woman walked up to him and started talking to him. I didn't for a while till "kpo" me decided that she was probably trying to find a xiao bai lian or something so i went closer... hehe..

couldn't really make out what she was saying but the guy was listening attentively to her.. so the possibility of her finding a xiao bai lian is out... and den i realised... she was asking for money...
but before she could finish her "act", his bus came and left the woman's effort gone to waste.

Since i was the ONLY one at the bus stop, she approach and SAT beside me... almost immediately, i acted like a bimbo!!! totally... took out my hair clips, rubber band and comb and started doing up my hair ( though i didn't know why i have all these stuff in my bag)...

she asked me, "do you speak English?" I just stared at her... and she mumbled... " oh.. so you don't" and she slumped to the edge of the seat... THEN... her unsuspecting victim came... had a typical teenage face... she took the opportunity and went up to her and asked for money and cried... Since i was near, I saw and heard everything!!! What the...

It was hilarious yet at the same time disappointing that some one who is able and fit had to resort to begging and lying for money... in the end, the girl gave her the money and board her bus... and almost instantly after the bus was gone, she wiped her tears and turned to look around.

I just looked at her and gave her the "so you just cheated some money" face. you should have seen her face! totally changed. Embarressed in fact. And since it was 2 plus, many teenage students were at the bus stop... could see that she wanted to pull the same trick but everytime she turn back, I just totally gave her the intense stare and she just aborted it...

Then my bus came... Her eyes followed me and almost instantly, I saw her turning to the school girl next to her and pulling the same trick. I sat at the window seat and gave her the same stare and she shifted uncomfortably...

its cool to see this kind of thing happening before your very eyes as it makes you realise that things like that do happen everyday.

WooSH!!! anyway, saw this cute lil Indian toddler today. she fits just nicely in the small space of the trolley... and she has a pair of round big eyes with long lashes... the best thing is that she smiled at everyone! and the best part is that she stumbles to call you.. but end up calling u her "papa" or "mama".. haha.. and she has these small lil hands that are prob 1/4 the size of my palm.. how adorable is that!

anyway, Tze's coming back from Batam tmr! =D yup yup... a weekend of relaxation... when will it be my turn? hiaz... next year after Feb I guess... but I wanna go to Australia! or Vancouver!!! or or NORWAY!!!!! and maybe Switzerland!!!!!

right.. i hate working in the airport now... all the shit ass stuff i get from my boss... so much for sacrificing my off days to come down to receieve your VVIPs... i just can't take up one shift and she has to make so much noise...

anyway, I'm through with working at the airport.. the long hours of work coupled with physical lethargy.. I've had enough!

I'm now going to treat myself well by not working like a bull during the hols... well, not exactly NOT work at all but rather, work in a new environment. some where which gives me new challenges.. and not screw up my body clock...

Just came back from work... nothing much out of the blue happened during work but I kinda nearly fall... THRICE!!!! arrgh... I'm so going to ban heels at work for women... can't walk properly, legs hurts terribly and worst of all... it makes clumsy people like me lose my balance and fall...

so ya.. sales was kinda sucky too... however, I sold the Grand Creation today!!!! whahaha... $400 leh... took me like 30 mins convincing the person and after countless testing ( he was probably a little too disoriented to think properly) he bought it!!! yay!!!

I'm so tired... but I can't sleep cos i slept for abt 15 hours... =X yaya... pig pig.. i know..

anyway. i went jogging today and realised that my stamina dropped.. big time... and i was breathless after running to the park which i usually run at... oh well~ haven't got time for anything.. and my sleeping time was even affected.. thats why it snowballed to yesterday and i gave myself PLENTY of rest..

Comman tests are around the corner *yikes* and I've yet to start my revision... probably going to be starting it soon...

work starts next Sunday~ not sure whether i should be happy a not.. happy that i can have money FINALLY!!! sad maybe cos it'll be taxing.. and time would be spent working instead of studying and resting... oh well, can't have the best of both worlds, so gotta compromise and make full use of the remaining time.

As I watch the minutes pass, I wish sliently that it'll go faster so you would be back soon... =(
